On the 14th of November 2017, we at Don Bosco Odxel Primary School celebrated Children’s Day. The programme started at 8 am. Fr. Jose Sequeira organized a lot of outdoor games of skill. Each stall was handled by one of the teachers and a volunteer. Children were given coupons and they were able to choose the game they wished to play. The children enjoyed themselves, trying their skills in various stalls.
At 9 am the children assembled in the corridor for an assembly. Teacher Jacqueline and Teacher Marceline spoke on why Children’s Day is celebrated. Teacher Melina said a short prayer which was followed by a prayer dance by Teacher Neha. The Teachers entertained the students with two dances– a Portuguese dance and a Hindi dance.
After this, the children from the 1st Std. to 4th Std. watched a movie, while the pre-primary children played games in the game stalls. It was wonderful to see our tiny tots playing all the different games.
At 10.30 the children were given refreshments.
All went home very happy. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the games, winning prizes, and dancing. Every child won a prize!
