The PTA General Annual body meeting of the Don Bosco Pre-primary & Primary school, Alto Dabolim was held at Bogmalo Church hall on Saturday 22ndJuly at 10 a.m., presided over by School Manager Fr. Lawrence Monteiro.
The Headmistress of the School, Mrs. Brenda D’Costa welcomed all the parents.
The Minutes of the previous PTA meeting were read by Tr. Priyanka Rane, proposed by Parent Pratibha Gaonkar, seconded by Tr. Yashwant Sawant and adopted.
Madam Nirmala introduced the new School Manager, Fr. Lawrence Monteiro, to the parents.
In his talk to the Parents and Teachers Fr. Lawrence stressed that Parents are the first teachers of the child and can contribute a lot to the learning process. So we have to work together for the well being of the children.
Fr. Said that parents should meet teachers at regular intervals and should find out whether their children are learning and how we can improve things for them. Unless we help our children they will not go forward. He said it is very important for us to meet each other for the well being of our children.
The Parents then interacted with the Management and the Staff, followed by the election of the Executive Committee for this academic year.
Madam Brenda thanked the outgoing Committee for their help and co-operation.

Madam Brenda then introduced Resource Persons Mr. Pravin and Miss. Alisha, who are working for the Migrant desk of Don Bosco.
Mr.Pravin in his talk said that they are working for people who find it difficult to get their Aadhar card and other such documents; they help and guide such people. He said that he and his colleague would help those students and Parents of our School who don’t have an Aadhar card.
There are many government schemes which they could also help people to aaccess.
Teacher Kavita gave the vote of thanks.
