TRANSFORMING LIVES – FULFILLING DREAMS is an initiative by the Don Bosco’s Konkan Development Society (KDS) team to create a social movement of likeminded people who believe that they can make a difference and contribute towards the betterment of the marginalized.
Our Annual event “Transforming Lives – Fulfilling Dreams” held on 11th April, 2019 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao-Goa was attended by a dedicated team of workers and volunteers, as well as a large hearted group of donors who are Industrialists, Hoteliers, Individuals and Alumni groups of Don Bosco. The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Agnelo Fernandes, Addnl. Collector 1 and Addl. District Magistrate, South Goa.
Father Felix Fernandes the Provincial of the Province welcomed the Audience to this grand function with a wonderful speech. The beneficiaries of each Project put up beautiful cultural items; while the Women of the Self-Help Groups displayed and sold Food Products and Homecare Products made by them. Ms. Sonia Shirsat enthralled the audience with two lovely songs accompanied by Dr. Allan Abreu.
Mr. Sarvesh Parab from Colorcon, Mr. Ravi Rebello from CommScope, Mr. Nicholas Daly, Mrs. Charlotte Newness, Mrs. Jan Bacon Mr. Edgar Melo Furtado and Mr. Anil Gole were some of the guests who graced the function. Father Lawrence Monteiro the Executive Director of the Konkan Development Society unveiled the Projects and the Budgets thereof, through an informative presentation. The programme was anchored by Mrs. Nirmala Rebello and the Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. Virendra Pereira.
We would like to invite all people who believe they can also make a difference to come, be a part of this unique movement as we embark on the ambitious projects for 2019-20 and participate in fund raising events and enjoy the camaraderie of existing and new donors.
