World Environment Day at Don Bosco School, Dabolim

World Environment Day at Don Bosco School, Dabolim

Every year World Environment Day is celebrated by reminding the children that we are responsible for protecting and preserving our Environment. This year’s theme at Don Bosco Dabolim was ‘BEAT THE PLASTIC.’

The programme began with a lovely environment song titled ‘ The Earth is my Home, I promise to save it,’ sung by students of standard IV. After that Tr. Yashwant talked about the importance of the environment and told the students to help save the earth by reducing pollution. Each little effort to protect our environment is more useful than any number of awareness programmes.

The School Headmistress Madam Brenda laid stress on reducing the use of plastic, which is becoming unmanageable. She also told children to reuse plastic in various ways. If they don’t reuse, they have to refuse.

All the Primary teachers contributed to make the programme successful.
