Yellow House Assembly – Swami Vivekananda Day – National Youth Day

A Special assembly was held on 14th Jan 2019, at Don Bosco School, Dabolim to celebrate the birth anniversary of ‘Swami Vivekananda’ who is the Patron of our Yellow House. This day is also celebrated as ‘National Youth Day’.

The Assembly began at 9:00 am with the Morning Prayer led by Miss Shivani Manjarkar of Std IV, from the Yellow House. The Headmistress, Mrs. Brenda D’Costa garlanded the picture of Swami Vivekananda accompanied by a student. Mahidhar Reddy, a child of the Yellow House from Std. IV dressed up as Swami Vivekananda and said the famous words: “Take risks in your life. If you win, you may lead; if you lose, you may guide.” Brenda Ma’am in her message to the children elaborated on this point.

Teacher Doris introduced the life of Swami Vivekananda. The children of Std. III sang, “Man mein Takath, Dil mein Himmat”, dedicated to the youth by Swami Vivekananda.

Teacher Sneha, who led the Assembly, stressed the fact that this day is celebrated as ‘National Youth Day,’ as Swami Vivekananda contributed a lot to the Education system of India. She also stressed on the Swami’s words “Arise! Awake! And stop not till the Goal is reached.” She encouraged the children to persevere in all the good that they do.
