In 1994, Mrs. Sylvia Borges, sister of Fr. Avil Rodigues, lost her son Leroy, in a tragic accident.  Soon after, she donated their Villa, in his name to Don Bosco, for the Youth Ministry.  Fast-forward to 2012, when the Salesians began to run a Pre-Primary School for the children from the nearby shanty areas.  In 2013, we were given permission by the Directorate of Education, to start Std. I, in the Konkani medium.  Since then, our tiny school has grown from strength to strength and the Villa became inadequate to accommodate the number of children who needed admission.  So we required a new building, and that was no mean task!  But through the miraculous blessings of the Lord above, the kindness and generosity of some, the hard work and commitment of others and the love and good wishes of many, our dream has become a reality. There have been many problems, stumbling blocks and moments of despair, but Faith has overcome all of these!

Although the Students and Staff moved into the new premises in June 2019, there were several tasks to be completed before the official inauguration could be held.

Finally, at 11.30 am. On 14^th January, 2020, Rev Fr. Felix Fernandes, Provincial of The Salesian Province of Panaji  (INP) cut the ribbon and led the inaugural Prayer Service and Blessing. Donors, several Salesian Fathers from the Province, the Manager of the School, Fr. Lawrence Monteiro, the Headmistress Mrs. Brenda Da Costa, Staff, Parents, Well Wishers and Students participated in the function.

With trained Teachers, well furbished classrooms, a fully equipped computer room, emphasis on interactive methods of learning, audio visual aids, sports and provision of transport facilities to those who need it, the School is recognized as a significant instrument to enable the young ones within its portals to aspire to greater heights in their quest for a good education.
